Matthew qualified as a Doctor at the University of East Anglia in 2009. He then spent three years at the Jersey General Hospital doing various rotations including General Medicine, General surgery and Accident and Emergency, which provided good insight into the healthcare needs of the local population. After that he worked at Lymington New Forest Hospital and in General Practice in nearby Lyndhurst, completing his membership. Matthew is now a lifelong Jersey resident, having been educated at De La Salle College. He is married with two teenage children. In his spare time he can be found surfing, scuba diving, and doing art. He also spends time with the family.
